Grounds of Faith Fair Trade Coffee Initiative

The SOFIA staff is currently working on the Grounds of Faith initiative, SOFIA’s first campaign. Here’s the breakdown: In conjunction with Orpha’s Coffee Shop in Skillman, NJ, SOFIA has created its own fair trade blend that we want YOU to tell your churches and schools about. Within the next week, we’ll be posting some more background information on Grounds of Faith, including specific tips and materials to help you bring fair trade coffee to your faith communities.

How does it work? Together with other people in your communities interested in SOFIA, you’ll schedule a meeting with a person of power in your community, tell him or her about the value of fair trade coffee and why it’s a matter of faith, and provide ordering information. Pretty easy.
