The Magdalene Circle is a new initiative sponsored by the Center for FaithJustice, designed to bring together an inter-generational group of women of faith through a sustained commitment to philanthropy, young people, and servant leadership. Join us on Friday, November 17th for a one-of-a-kind women’s only event featuring special guest Kerry Robinson. We’ll be reflecting on St. Mary Magdalene, the essential voice of women of in the global Church, and gratitude on the eve of Thanksgiving. MercyworX Scholarship Reception
We were thrilled to welcome 2017 MercyworX scholarship recipients, their parents, and donors from the Church of Saint Ann for an evening of celebration and fellowship at the Casa Retreat Center. It was wonderful to hear from Fr. Gerard Lynch, Pastor at Saint Ann, about his commitment to supporting young people on their vocational journeys and the importance of giving back. We also heard from MercyworX scholar Jennifer Barillas, who shared that her WorX experiences have taught her “to never judge a book by the cover. You never know what someone is going through.” She went on to challenge her fellow students to “recruit your friends for next summer!” Several parents described their children as being “forever changed.” We can’t thank the Church of Saint Ann enough – this program never would have happened with you!
